Is the Stock Market Open on Presidents' Day?

U.S. stock markets are closed on Presidents' Day (Washington's Birthday), observed on the third Monday of February.

It is the only market holiday in February and, like MLK Day, always falls on a Monday. After Presidents' Day, the next scheduled closure is Good Friday, which can be anywhere from five to nine weeks later depending on when Easter falls.

The U.S. bond market is also closed, per SIFMA's recommended holiday schedule.
